In the absence of the gods, the inhabitants of Alosya revered the forces that governed their surroundings – life and death. They constructed two temples that focused and harnessed these energies, and revered the journey between them.

Over time, their society succumbed to corruption, driven by its own success. They embarked on the construction of a third temple, the Temple of Immortality. Instead of maintaining balance, this new structure would grant them unchecked control over the forces at their command.
